Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 07 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hoode (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information.

Information you provide directly

When you create an account, use the Services, or contact us, you may provide information such as your name or display name, email address, phone number, profile photo, bio, age, gender, preferences, messages, group activity, and support requests or other communications you send to us.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect device and usage information such as your device model, operating system, app version, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, log data, crash reports, page or screen views, actions taken inside the app, timestamps, referring links, and push notification tokens.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from third parties such as Google or Apple if you sign in with those services, payment and subscription platforms such as Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat, analytics or cloud service providers, and other users if they share content or messages that mention you.

User content

If you upload photos, videos, text, or other content, we process that content to provide the Services, support moderation, and maintain platform safety.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to create and manage your account, provide and operate the Services, process purchases, subscriptions, boosts, and entitlements, verify access to paid features, send service-related notifications, improve and personalize the Services, detect fraud, spam, abuse, or other harmful activity, enforce our Terms of Service and Community Standards, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share information in the situations described below.

Service providers

We may share information with vendors that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, push notification providers, moderation tools, and payment or subscription infrastructure providers.

Purchases and billing

If you make a purchase, relevant transaction and entitlement data may be shared with payment platforms and RevenueCat for purchase validation, entitlement management, renewal handling, and duplicate-credit prevention.

Legal and safety purposes

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a government request, to protect the rights, safety, or property of us, our users, or others, to investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues, or to enforce our agreements and policies.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With your consent

We may share information for other purposes when you direct us to do so or give us permission.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

If we operate a website, web profile page, or web-based dashboard, we may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure usage and performance, and improve user experience. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

5. Push Notifications and Communications

We may send you push notifications, in-app messages, or service-related emails about account activity, purchase confirmations, security alerts, product updates, and important policy changes. You can manage push notification settings through your device settings. Some essential service messages may still be sent even if you disable marketing communications.

6. Social Logins

If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider such as Google or Apple, we receive certain information from that provider, such as your name, email address, and profile information, depending on your settings with that provider. We use this information only to authenticate you, create or manage your account, and provide the Services.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, and Boosts

If you purchase a subscription or consumable feature, payment processing may be handled by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or related payment infrastructure. We may receive purchase status, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, and subscription renewal or expiration information. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves. For consumable boosts, we may store purchase and balance information to credit your account and prevent duplicate crediting. For subscriptions, we may store entitlement and expiry information to determine access to premium features.

8. Retention of Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining your account, processing purchases and entitlements, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or anonymize it where feasible.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted to or stored by the Services.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, unless expressly stated otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate. If you access the Services from outside those countries, you understand that your information may be transferred, stored, and processed across borders in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete your information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or request portability of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at dev@hoode.in. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority.

13. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion by contacting us at dev@hoode.in. When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your account information as required by law, except where we must retain certain records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

14. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using them.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy in the Services, showing an in-app notice, or otherwise informing you before the changes take effect where required.
