Community Standards

Last Updated: 07 April 2026

Hoode is built for real interactions between real people. We want this to be a space where you can meet others, explore, and express yourself without dealing with fake behavior, toxicity, or manipulation. These Community Standards exist to keep things fair, respectful, and safe for everyone using the platform.

By using Hoode, you agree to follow these standards as part of our Terms of Service. If you do not feel aligned with how this platform is meant to be used, it is better not to use it.

At its core, the rule is simple. Behave in a way you would expect others to behave with you. Hoode is not a place for pretending, exploiting, or making others uncomfortable.

You must present yourself honestly. Creating fake profiles, impersonating someone else, or using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage is not allowed. The platform depends on trust, and anything that breaks that trust undermines the experience for everyone.

Respect is non-negotiable. Harassment, bullying, repeated unwanted contact, or any form of threatening or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes both direct interactions and indirect behavior meant to target or isolate someone. If your presence makes the platform worse for others, it will not be accepted.

We do not allow hate or discrimination in any form. Content or behavior that targets individuals or groups based on identity, including race, religion, gender, sexuality, or appearance, is strictly prohibited.

Hoode is also not a place for spam or manipulation. Using bots, automation, mass messaging, or any method to artificially increase visibility, engagement, or matching outcomes is not allowed. This includes attempts to exploit or reverse engineer how the platform works. If you try to game the system, you will lose access to it.

Content shared on Hoode must remain appropriate and safe. Explicit sexual content, non-consensual material, content involving minors, or anything violent or disturbing is strictly prohibited. We take safety seriously, and violations in this area are treated with zero tolerance.

You must also respect the privacy of others. Sharing someone's personal information without their consent, including contact details, private conversations, or any identifying data, is not allowed. What happens on Hoode should not be used to expose or harm someone outside of it.

Paid features such as boosts are designed to enhance visibility, not to manipulate behavior or outcomes. Using boosts to spam, mislead, or unfairly influence the system is not acceptable. Boosts do not guarantee attention, matches, or engagement, and attempting to misuse them will result in restrictions.

Group interactions and social features must be used responsibly. Misleading users, creating harmful group dynamics, or coordinating negative behavior against others is not allowed. Hoode is meant to enable connections, not control or exploit them.

If you encounter behavior that violates these standards, you can report it through the app or contact us at dev@hoode.in. We review reports and take action when necessary to protect the platform and its users.

If you violate these Community Standards, we may take action without prior notice. This can include removing content, restricting features, reversing boosts or benefits, suspending your account, or permanently banning you from Hoode. Our decisions are made to protect the integrity of the platform and the safety of its users.

We may update these Community Standards over time. When we do, we will update the date above and notify users where appropriate. Continued use of Hoode means you accept the updated version.

Hoode works when people show up honestly, treat others well, and do not try to break the system. That is all we expect.
